Homeopathy is a safe and effective
system of medicine, used by millions
worldwide for more than 200 years. |
|
13:09:29 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Medicines are prepared from natural
sources, and are used in extremely small
amounts. They are recognized by the
FDA. |
|
13:09:50 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
They are non-toxic and safe for
children, infants adults and animals. |
|
13:10:25 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Homeopathy is based on a principle that
like cures like. That is, if a
substance can cause symptoms in a
healthy person, they can sure them in a
sick person. |

Homeopathy regards symptoms as the
body's healthy attempt to restore itself
to balance. |

In homeopathy, we treat the person, not
the 'disease' so not to be vague, but
there isn't a remedy for insomnia, per
se. You need to find out more about the
person, the insomnia, etc before
choosing an appropriate remedy. |

I always use a single dose. Combination
remedies are made by combing the MOST
LIKELY remedy for an illness, ie,
sinusitis, in the hopes that the one you
need will be in there. As a result,
people often get only partial results. |
|
13:19:08 |

question |
|
13:19:40 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Miasms are not very relevant for me in
prescribing, it is more like an
interesting theory. I take a good case,
which get all the patients symptons and
then match the remedy that fits
closest. If I'm right, the remedy
triggers the body to start healing it |
|
13:19:53 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
itself- that's important. |

breast start to sag and u lose weight is
that true? |
|
13:20:40 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
If the case is unclear that might be a
good strategy, but most of my cases are
clear. If you take a complete case, it
is usually clear! |
|
13:21:07 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Is that a homeopathy question? |

cystic fibrosis or diabetes? can a

|
13:28:38 |

ALL remedies are safe. Homeopathy is
energy medicine, ie, it is not give in
crude (or milligram doses). The dosing
is not determined by the age or weight
of the baby unlike in conventional
medicine. Its like getting a key in a
lock. If the remedy is |

Yes, but the most obvious thing is to
avoid dairy. A reaction like that is an
over-reactivity of the immune system -
inappropriately so. Homeopathy works on
the level of the immune system, so it
would help to balance it over time and
be less reactive. |

I don,t see things like that exactly. A

THE SAME PERSON\ We would give one

My 7mth old has cradlecap & recently got
eczema on his arms. I've used sulphur -
which helps, but the book I have said to
dose only for 3 days. If its working can
I continue or do I need to give it a
rest. Also, are there other remedies I
should look at? |

Lisa Samet, N.D. |
You give the remedy when its needed.
So, for example, if you give the sulphur
you may notice an improvement if its the
right remedy. As long as things are
getting better, you wait. Very
important. |
|
13:55:23 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
When the eczema starts to become less
agood again, you repeat. |

Ok. Thank you for clearing that up.
Also, thanks to the previous mom for her

The body will tell you when it needs the
next dose by showing you some of the
symptoms again. Never go by a formula
in homoepathy, remember, we also treat
the individual and everyone is
different. |

any advice for eczema on eyelids? |
|
13:57:34 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Yes, I,m sure. Try homoepathy. It
should defintiely be an asset in your
current regime. |
|
13:58:12 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Sorry not to be more specific, but if a
homeopath can find a good remedy for
her, she will do better, I'm sure of it. |

Absolutely. Homeopathy works at the
level of the immune system - how
perfect! |

2 questions: 1. So with chronic lyme -
can homeopathy support the body while
someone is on long-term antibiotics?
there are so many studies support
antibiotics in seeking and terminating
the slow growing bacteria and few
studies on homeopathy doing so? |
|
13:59:44 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Hopefully not. If a complete case is
take and the homeopath has good
trainging and experience they can find
the remedy immediately. But in any case,
be somewhat patient. I think 6 months
ois ideal to keep trying. |
|
14:00:52 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Unfortunately there are not many good
studies in homoepathy, due to
underfunding. However, you can use
homeopathy while on allopathic
medicatins, so that aspect is not a
problem. I hope your supplementing with
probiotcs with all the anti-biotics! |
|
14:01:12 |
ambiesmom |
Thanks...she has been on antibiotics and
misdiagnosed for a year..so I was
assuming it would take that long to
reverse....6 months sounds better :) |
|
14:01:50 |
ambiesmom |
Yes she is on preprobiotics and other
homeopathics for her GI |
|
14:02:14 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
I meant 6 months to see if the homeopath
can find a good remedy. Once its found,
I don,t know how I don't know how long
it will take for her full recovery, it
depends on many factors... |
|
14:02:28 |
erinbaba |
Yes, probiotics are effective and I take
them. Thank you for your response, What
do you recommend for a child who has an
allergic reaction to sunscreen? I have
tried the most sensitive sunscreens -
paba free, etc, and I haven't found one
that works?? |
|
14:03:07 |

I am nursing my 5 month old son and he
has eczema on his legs. I went to our

by Boiron but it has not helped.
Anything else you recommend or I should
be doing? |
|
14:07:02 |
Webmama_Tina |
current chatter:taina22 .... and our
last question will be from Joyce :) |
|
14:07:14 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
I would not use any cream to try to get
rid of a skin eruption. I would repeat
this 100x if I could type that fast.
When you suppress an eruption, even with
something 'natural' , but drive the
disease back inside the body, making the
overal person less |
|
14:07:42 |
erinbaba |
I'm sorry but I never had my question re
sunscreen answered |
|
14:08:12 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
healthy. Hence the triad, allergies,
eczema and asthma. I believe many
suppressed skin eruptions end up coming
out again in asthma. So, what can you
do? As far as I'm concerned homeopathy
is the OMNLY answer. Sorry to sound
dogmatice. Homeopathy can |
|
14:08:26 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
heal the skin from the inside. |
|
14:08:48 |
taina22 |
so you're suggesting remedies and such? |
|
14:09:09 |
taina22 |

this and he's been around forever |
|
14:09:22 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
yes, remedies. One remedy prescribed
which covers the whole child. |
|
14:09:54 |
taina22 |
thank you....2nd q', what is good for a
1 year old to take for bronchitis? |
|
14:10:01 |
taina22 |
or do? |
|
14:10:08 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
Well, I'm sure he's great, but I doubt
he knows much about homeopathy. I've
rarely heard of an allopath recommedning
homeopathy, unfortunately, because it
has so much to offer. Do some reading
up on it! |
|
14:10:27 |
ambiesmom |
I heard cod liver oil is good for
that..i could be wrong though |
|
14:11:22 |
Lisa Samet, N.D. |
As we said earlier, homeopaths don't
prescribe for the disease, but for the
person. Sorry not to be more helpful
Your one year old needs to take a
remedy, not his bronchitis. Does that
make sense? |
|
14:11:47 |
